Hi friends, thanks for your encouragement and support over the last week. I am back with another topic from my end. So, here I am going to talk about a place from India. I am not sure, how many people have visited this place. But, I just want to share my experience of visiting this place. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the natural beauty.
Yes, as the title suggest, we are going to see about my own experience of visiting Triveni Sangam. First of all, let me tell you the meaning of the word Triveni Sangam, this word can be split up into 3 seperate words. Tri, veni and Sangam.
Tri - refers to the number three
Veni - refers to the river
Sangam - confluence of the rivers
Confluence of three rivers is known as Triveni Sangam and these three rivers as Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati.
It is located in the prayagraj ( formerly known as Allahabad) in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Out of the three rivers, Ganga or the Ganges river will be in Blue colour and the Yamuna river will be in Green colour. These two rivers are visible to our naked eye. But, saraswathi which is claimed to be in red colour, but it is not visible to our naked eye. There are a lot of stories and myth behind it, but I am not going to mention about that. As it might end up in a lot of controversies.
We started from our place and then began our travel. So, they took us in a boat to the place where these three rivers confluence. They made the boat stay at place and asked us to get down at a point where the depth of these 3 rivers are a bit low. It was stated that, people who are bathing in these holy rivers, their sin will get out of them and then can continue a peaceful life.
I did not want to argue with whatever our ancestors said and obeyed them and bathed in that river. It was a nice experience. But, I was little worried about the condition of water at those points. But, it will be in that condition, since there are 1000's of devotees who visit those places, each and every day. It is very hard to maintain them. Even, in some areas, swimming pools are not maintained properly, so we cannot blame human for not maintaining the rivers.
I end up my story here.
