Hi friends, thanks for the support that you are giving me to the posts that I am writing. I am usually writing the posts that I have experienced and most on my opinions, there may be people who agree with my views and who oppose my views, both are equally good and important for me. So, now let us get into the blog. That day, I was chatting with my friend and we were talking about movies. Though, I prefer to watch movies in OTT, I am unable to subscribe for all the OTT platforms, previously there were one or two OTT platforms, now we have them in double digits I guess.

Can't afford to spend so much on subscription, so I decided to watch one web series by downloading it for free. I asked one of my friends for the link to download that web series, he gave it to me. But, sometimes, that site may be blocked by indian government, so he asked me to open that site with the help of a VPN.But, when I clicked the link, that website opened. I checked for the webseries, almost all the webseries links were available according to the language.

when I clicked on the link to download the torrents file, there were unnecessary pop outs that were popping up in the subsequent tabs. There was continously some unwanted sites that were popping. The threat came like this - your computer has been locked out due to the excessive use of blocked sites and you need to pay a fine of some USD to the indian government to unlock your computer. I was shocked on seeing the message and a siren sound was coming from my computer. I did not know what to do, I switched off my computer. 

For a moment, I thought that I will be under prison, if I dont pay the amount, I did not know, what to do. Then, I searched for this in google and came to know that it was ransomware and not to pay the money and just check out of the site, I told this to my friend, you were right, sometimes, these kind of sites, will threaten like this. Luckily, you escaped and did the correct job by not paying the money. It is a ransomware, sometimes we might think to save money by using free movie sites, but we should be cautious and careful, otherwise we might end up spending more money than the amount we thought of saving.
