Bonsoir everyone...
Two blogs in a row , haha ! So this is the last part of my hostel story. I won't be boring you anymore with the same now. Let's begin.
In the morning at 6am we will get tea or milk with no sugar and you were not allowed to have anything after that and you will have to wait till 10 a.m. for your first meal and on Sundays if you want to go out you will have to take permission from the warden, get a slip signed by them and then you are allowed to go and you will have to come before 5pm and if you are late then you will have to face the consequences. If you want to go to your home you will have to take permission from the warden again 3 to 4 days prior and if the warden is not in the good mood then your application will be rejected and you will have to apply again.
We had a water cooler service but we will have to wait in a long queue to get one water bottle filled in hours by those dripping taps in the hot summer days and in the winters if you want to take a bath then you will have to wait in the gyser line because there were only two geysers in the entire hostel and some times the warden would cut the electricity because her mood is disrupted because of some personal reasons. So you have no option but to take bath by frozen water. On the off days or Sundays, if you are not going to college you will have to clean the hostel premises by yourself as a part of social services. One of the worst thing that I can write about my hostel is that there were no mobile phones or laptops allowed in your room you will have to submit the laptops in the hostel library and if you want to use that you will have to ask for the permission for the Wi-Fi and by their consent you can use that and if you want to contact your parents or guardians or friends you will have to make call from the office only twice a day and not more than 10 minutes and there were out of the blue meetings in the middle of night if something is being stolen from someone's room or if someone is caught with their mobile phones in the rooms. So we were almost scared by them and we were so terrified if they are going to check our rooms too. You cannot even laugh or talk loudly in the lobby of the hostel . You have to remain silent even if the quality of the food is so bad like once we found out that the atta or flour they are using for chapatis was of bad quality and we tried to complaint but the warden shut off our mouth by threatening us that the next time if any of us raised our voice we will be punished without any cause.
And all the time I would be waiting for holidays or weekend offs to go to my home so that I can chill or like have a good food at least for a few days and sleep peacefully as there were no coolers in our hostel rooms let aside the air conditioners.
Now you can imagine my situation in that prison.
So this was my hostel story .
à demain...Bonne nuit !!
