Yesterday (Saturday) I was traveling to my home after so much of planning and efforts. Just after attending my college I rushed to my hostel ,had some food, did the last dance rehearsal with my dance partner(as we are doing it on Freshers party). Took my bag , got the rickshaw. Landed on the bus stand. There was a mammoth of people that seemed like an enormous fair or something. That just made me think that Is the entire city traveling with me today ? There wasn't even a single bus to my destination. 
While I was so eager and excited to see my Mother, the bus was taking more time that increased my anger and frustration exponentially. Then there came a single bus that I was supposed to climb on. But the crowd was so much that I gave it a second thought, whether I should take this same bus or should I wait for the next one? But I was already there since more than an hour, drained of carrying my bags alone , standing in the sun. So I tried to take that bus. In the crowd , I was being blended like you blend all the spices and coriander leaves to make a smooth chutney.  The moment I thought I should take my bag from my back to in front of me. What I saw left me terrified. My bag was unzipped totally. The next moment I am fumbling my bag, every single pocket , everywhere. Because I cannot find my wallet. I am  clueless like what just happened with me ? Is it a dream or something ? How can I get theft ? I ask myself - No, why can't you get theft? Are you not a normal human being? It is as simple as that, just accept it now and think think think what I should do now ?
I called my mother. She was all energetic and asked "so where you reached beta?" &All I had were my eyes filled with tears, answering "I lost my wallet". She was shocked just like me "lost? What do you mean by lost? Lost it where?" I replied "someone stole it from my bag while I was trying to get on the bus. Didn't get the bus either,in addition lost my wallet." She asked "what now? Listen don't get panic,okay beta? It's okay, don't worry. What was in there? Anything important?" I answered "important? I dunno, it had my ATM card,PAN card, Voter ID, College I'd card,Aadhar card, some cash.."
Her next question was  "Do you have the money to travel ? Or going back to the hostel?" I told her that I have some money in the back cover of my phone. Or else I will do UPI payment. And I started looking for some policemen there. But couldn't spot any. You know the UP police. You won't find one when you need. The next bus came and I grabbed a seat. Called my father. Told him the same story. I was really afraid of him. What if he scolded me? But he would understand that it's not the first time I am traveling to somewhere. He knows that I am responsible just like him. I am not careless. With these thoughts in my mind , he picked up the call and after listening to me , he laughed, a lot, and said " okay now you got a valuable lesson , be very careful from next time. When you reach home, do the first thing that go to a nearby police station and file an FIR for the same,reach safely." I was relaxed after talking to him. 
I would say that no matter how careful and aware we are, things would happen just the way they are supposed to. So be very careful when you travel, especially alone.
