September 2010 : A small place... In the backyard of our house which included a temple and a well which was not so deep . We used to go to say prayers and to kill time in the evening hours. Or we would just start playing hide and seek . There was a huge plant of jasmine which was so attractive to see. It had white flowers which people used to pluck and offer to God/Goddesses which I did not appreciate much. I always loved watering plants. And taking care of them with my mother. We even had a corner where we used to grow vegetables like tomato, spinach, coriander and some vines of vegetables like bitter gourd, green gourd , etc. And flowers like Marigold, Rose ,etc .

A very fine day when I and my sister were roaming around or may be playing something...we heard "meow" . We looked at each other and wondered what & where the sound is coming from ?! Tried to find the source of that meow. We discovered that it's this little kitten , fell into the well !

Then we did peep into it . It was all dark down there. There was no water. Just some twigs and leaves. And nothing else. We were not able to see that  kitten. But we could see those bright glowing eyes ,which confirmed the presence of that little kitten. Our father was not at home at that time. So we decided to rescue the kitten by ourselves.

After few minutes of struggling, thinking what should we do to save that kitten ...we came with a basket,tied it with a rope and slowly inserted it into the well , lowering the rope. Hoping that when the kitten enters the basket we would pull it over.

It was way harder than we thought. The scared kitten refused to enter the basket . We had no experience of such rescue missions. We got nothing but disappointment.

Hours passed. Kitten was still there, mewing was getting weaker with time.

We needed to act fast. So we ran to our Mother,told her everything and asked for help. She immediately called father . He came home with his friend . Uncle entered the well with papa's help . In half an hour the kitten was out. Kitten was Rescued. We Fed him some milk .

After few days at the same place we saw that kitten reunited with his mother. We were insanely happy for the kitten and his mother.
