Hai, readers. I hope all is well. Here is a blog about a snake called the Sand boa.


Why is this snake called an iru thala moori 

A sand boa is a tunnelling snake with a sharp head prepared to infiltrate the dirt. It has a thick tail, which looks as though it has been cut at a point. In Kerala, it's called iru thala moori, and that implies a two-headed living being, as the last part seems to be another head. It principally eats worms.

Places where sand boas are found
The sand boa is endemic to three nations: India, Pakistan, and Iran. Different species of this snake are found in different regions. also a species found in North America, mainly along the Pacific coast. also a species found in Europe, North Africa, and parts of Asia. A species is also found in India and Africa. This non-venomous snake is generally dealt with on the worldwide underground market as a result of the fantasies and convictions encompassing it. The cost of the snake is determined by its weight. "Dealingwith or killing a sand boa is a culpable offense,"

Incidents of rare species being smuggled by a snake always come out. It was named sand boas or iru thala moori because of its slow movement, thick body, and almost identical tail and mouth. In foreign countries, the two-tailed snake is used to increase sexual potency, make intoxicating substances, make expensive perfumes, and treat cancer, which are some of the  special things about this snake.


Does a two-tailed snake live?


 This snake lives mostly in the sand. Like an anaconda, this snake has eyes on its head. To hunt, this snake hides in the sand and raises only its head. Many people in foreign countries also keep this snake. It is one of the most shy and quiet of all snakes.

Methods of reproduction


Two-tailed snakes reproduce by laying eggs. The length of the snake at birth is eight to ten inches. Their breeding season is in the monsoon or winter.


What do they eat, and how do they hunt?


 Like other snakes, this one is carnivorous. Prey varies depending on the habitat of these snakes. Mice, frogs, rabbits, etc. This snake hides under the sand and waits for its prey. attacks with sharp teeth when approaching prey.
and continues to drink their blood until the victim is unconscious.


 What is the Sand Boa Snake used for?


 It is said that this snake is used to cure cancer, Lyme disease, and increase immunity. It is said to cure the problem of erectile dysfunction. It is also used for joint pain. 

There is a superstition about this snake in Malaysia. People here believe that a red, two-headed snake can increase one’s luck. Also, this snake skin is used for cosmetics, purses, and jackets.
