I am the kind of a person who gets spooked every easily.. Let it be lightning, darkness, scary faces or even people dressed up as Santa Claus or those mall Mickey and Minnie Mouse figures…But I have a problem, I enjoy watching horror movies. I watch them in theaters with fingers I my ears and my eyes closed. I watched the movie Conjuring 5 times in the theater but I only watched the scary parts at home in the morning once it was out for download. And then I couldn't sleep for days without the lights on and some background sound.
Maybe its because I have had incidents which has scared me out to my wits. Recently, I watched the whole Conjuring franchise and then the new movie The Devil Made Me Do It. Again I needed the lights on while sleeping just to pacify myself, by the way I am at an age where this is ridiculous. Does anyone else out there do the same as me or I am the only one who is insane. My parents certainly think I need help.. To me Conjuring was a really good movie after a very long time. Oh and I almost forgot to mention I am extremely scared of Zombies. I once dreamt that everyone in my house turned zombies and were barging on my door in the middle of the night. And right now writing this article I am actually watching IT. Well call me crazy but writing is my distraction to not look at the scary parts because clowns freak me out too… I sound like a complete ditz but I have been to a graveyard at midnight. It's only a problem when I am in an enclosed area that it really gets me or when it is completely silent for no reason.
I should have also mentioned for a better part of my masters I lived alone in a three bhk, crazy I know, but my roommate left after her course was done. Sometimes these things get to you when you are roaming around in a house with no one round and the only sound is your own breath. I took a decision that day that I would never watch another horror movie, but well its the curiosity that gets me. I want to know the storyline, I want to face my fears with fingers in my ears and my eyes closed.
