India and the world had many kings and queens and india was trapped by the british. 

Hello everyone I hope you are doing well, today I am going to share the history about the ancient world 🌍 as I am a school girl I have read it in my history book and I am trying to say it in my own words.

There are mainly 4 civilization as I have learnt 

🌸 Indus valley civilization

🌸 Egyptian civilization

🌸 Mesopotamian civilization and 

🌸The Chinese civilization 

First lets start with the Indus valley civilization 

So RAKHAL DAS BANERJEE discoverd the ruins of harappa inin the bank of the river ravi in the motogomary district of western punjab  the Indus valley consisted of Harappa and mohenjo daro 

Mohenjo daro means the mound of the dead 

Both Harappa and mohenjo daro are now in Pakistan              since the  Harappa the civilization was the first site to be excavated the civilization came to be know as Harappan civilization and since these sites were found on the  banks of the Indus river the civilization came to be known as Indus valley civilization 

The town planning of the civilization 

1. Their cities wre planned skillfully and divided into two parts 

2. The raised part was called the citadel and the lower part was known as lower town 

3. The streets were straight and were cut into right angles 

4. The great granary at Harappa was the most important building in citadel mohenjo daro's granary ran 46m long and 15 m wide . They were mainly used to store food grains 

Now let's talk about the great bath at mohenjo daro 

It had an open quadrangle with verandahs on its four sides. It has six entrance a central bathing pool and dressing room . The swimming pool was 12m long and 7m wide and 2.5m deep 

 The economic system

1. The main work of the people were agriculture and rearing of animals 

2. The people mainly grew wheat, barley, pulses etc 

3. Animals like ox ,buffalo ,sheep and goat were domesticated by the Harappan. The cow was considered as a useful animal 

4. Other occupations of Harappan were pottery making , metallurgy , seal making and trading 

Art and craft of the people 

The bronze figure of a dancing girl has been found in mohenjo daro her feet below the ankles are missing. One of the stone statues show a bearded noble man or a priest wearing a shawl. His eyes are half closed .the figure of human ,birds, and animals painted on pottery show the artistic skills of the people 

 The seals 

 more than 2000seals have already been found . The most interesting seal is that of Pashupati a person appearing like lord Shiva is seated in a yogic posture .the statue is surrounded by animals

The decline of the civilization

It was around 1750 bc when the two important cities of Harappan culture Harappa and mohenjo daro declined. There is no clear evidence of why did the civilization declined. They have made various speculations 

1. earth quake or cyclone 

2.  Floods 

3. Changed course of river 

4. Reduced fertility of land 

5. Invasion
