She was standing on the concrete sunshade of her house by the terrace, just about to jump off from there when her father appeared just in time to hold her back. The little girl named Sita was only about nine years old, when she had developed suicidal tendencies. She was seen attempting suicide many times, sometimes she tried to drown herself in a nearby pond and another time she was trying to strangle herself to death by hanging. She was lucky enough to never being successful in her attempts. 

Whenever a family member asked her as to why she was attempting to die, she had no answer. Some thought she had a mental illness or maybe she was just depressed and the reason to it was unknown. Some thought that it was because of her low grades in class that she was depressed, some said it was because of a breakup with a friend or maybe a boyfriend and she was too embarrassed to talk about it. 

Her parents tried their best to make her talk and open up to them about the thing that was bothering her, but she refuted everytime. Sujata and Mukesh - her parents were very worried for their only child, so they took her to a psychiatrist regularly but all their attempts to make her talk of her problem failed. It seemed that no medicines worked for her. Sita was just bent upon killing herself and the reason for it was still unknown. 

Later, her parents decided to talk to her teacher and her classmates at school, but even they did not seem to have an answer for her strange behaviour. Although they informed her parents of a similar case that happened with one of her classmates few years back. That incident took place with Lisa who cut her wrists with a knife and had a silent death in her room, the reason for which was still a mystery.

They confronted their daughter and asked her about Lisa who had killed herself and whether she was friends with her or not. She finally opened up to them and said that she was able to see the other girl and play with her. Lisa used to ask her to come to her world as their was a lot of fun and she used to lure Sita by showing her balloons and asked her to jump off the sunshade. She was afraid to say this earlier as the other girl asked her to keep quiet of her existence and not talk about her to anyone or else people would think that she has gone mad. 

The parents decided to visit a Peer Baba (Sufi saint) to get the answers to their questions, as they were perplexed and did not know what to do. The priest knew how to talk to spirits and said that the other girl who had killed herself was not in peace and her soul was in utmost agony. Lisa's soul wanted another soul to feel the suffering and anguish it was feeling so that the feeling was shared, hence it kept on calling Sita to her world. The priest then gave Sita an amulet and asked the soul of Lisa to leave her alone forever.
