I had been struggling to loose weight for a long time. I am foodie and I had never been consistent.
I am medical student and I didn't really get the time to join gym.
Adding to that was lot of stress eating from the exams. And at this point I was obese.
I had tried so many ways to get the healthy body. Problem was I was never consistent. At one point I had given up.
This is my own story of how I actually lost weight. It was year 2019, I was starting internship of my MBBS.
Internship is hectic year. I used to very busy so much that I didn't have time to have my breakfast.
I had to report to the hospital at 7am and I was living in paying guest. So to get up in the morning and get to hospital was a task in itself, I never really had the time to have my breakfast.
After doing some the rounds at hospital and all the work. I was almost 2 pm. That's I when I went to th canteen and ordered my fav that is masala dosa and tea. It was the most favourite meal of the day. I used to be so hungry till this point that the first morsel of food just felt like the heaven. In about a month my friends complimented to see a change of visible weight. I was shocked because i didn't do anything. Then I researched
That's when I came to know about intermittent fasting.
It works on the principal of fasting for 16 hrs and eating for 8 hrs. For example you can have 1st meal at 1pm and last meal at 9pm.
The science behind is that the body stores of glucose is depleted by 12 hrs of fasting and post that the body then digest fat for energy.
So without exercise it is burning your adipose tissue. If you think about it you are just fasting for a period of 7 hrs ,rest hrs you are sleeping.
During your fasting period you can just have green tea, Black coffee and water.
It worked wonders for me. I have been doin it ever since and maintaing a healthy BMI .Do try it and share you experience in comments below.
