Generation like ours doesn’t go to wars or know what it feels like to sacrifice or even owe pride in giving up something as precious as your life for the country. The world is definitely one place to live in and these are nothing but imaginary geographical lines that we drew, which divided our unity and pride into few fragments in the shape of countries and territories, and now we somehow forgot that at the end we are just mere humans, and there is no religion greater than of humanity. We, humans, created religion and then we created power and war and chaos to gain power over humanity. But what kind of world do we actually live in? Do we actually aspire to grow and survive in a place like this?
Yes, because a generation like ours doesn’t go to war because maybe we as humans believe the value of life is any day above the acquisition of the power of few states. The bloodshed during the wars, and the painful noise of bullets scratching through the ears, maybe wreck our nervous system, and maybe we don’t want to believe that we belong to a world where imaginary lines are of greater value than of life.
Generation like ours believes that being accepted as a person is way more ahead than being in the concretes of Hindu and Muslim. A generation like ours doesn’t believe that going to a temple in the morning makes you a better human, but at the same time, the person acts like a hypocrite and ignore the needs of the beggars on the way to the temple.
Generation like ours would rather feed food to the beggars than fight over Mosque and Temple. Definitely generation like ours would stop the killing of girl child but fight over the issue of which lands belongs to which religion. Weren’t we taught in the books supplied by our own legal boards that- God is one? Then, why shed blood over wars and religion? Generation like ours understand we may not be the best of people and are definitely flawed, but generation like ours also believes we as humans are above any religion in the world and we together can aspire for a better future not only for as an individual but for the whole world, which we are a part of.
Maybe a generation like ours gets intrigued by the readings of murders in Afghanistan, Iran and Syria, where creatures as little as 3 years old are terrified of even cameras because they believe it’s nothing but a time bomb. A world where people don’t wake up to the rising sun, but to the bombings on the streets. A world where little children are not just deprived of education, food and quality of life, but they wake up with agitation of which family member/friend would I lose today. I mean, for once, instead of fighting over power for states shouldn’t the leaders of the world be thoughtful about- WHAT KIND OF WORLD ARE YOU BUILDING, AND WHAT GOOD IS IT DOING?
