World Is Not Like What You See

Hi guys, Welcome to my blog. Today I want to share a story based on true incidents.

Disclaimer - I am using Pseudo names.

This story took place in the year 2022 in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh. Ravi and Sandhya have a daughter named Maithree. Maithree is an average student in her studies. After graduation, she took coaching for bank exams but failed to clear the rounds. She went into depression for wasting her years. Her parents are supportive, they encouraged her to choose another path according to her choice. After analyzing herself, Maithree decided to become an Animator since she loves cartoons very much. Her parents joined her in a famous institute in Hyderabad based on Google reviews. The course duration is six months. So, she used to stay in a hostel near her institute.

Maithree first day in Hyderabad was good. The next day, her roommate Jyoshna started irritating her and disturbing her when she was studying. So, she booked a monthly paid reading room to study. Maithree assumed that everything was fine now but she was wrong. Danger came in the name of her classmates and her lecturer. Since Animation is her passion, Maithree started acing tests, projects, and assignments given by her lecturer. This was not liked by her classmates and lecturer Rajesh. Maithree was 25 years old and her classmates were three to four years younger than her. So, they often criticize her indirectly - what will you do by studying, go and get married. They used to talk ill about her behind her back. However, Maithree only focused on her career instead of their comments. Lecturer Rajesh hasn't liked Maithree since day one because she used to ask him many doubts and always oversmarts him. So, he too started spreading rumors about Maithree to her colleagues.

On the other hand in the hostel, Jyoshna started irritating her more. So, Maithree vacated the hostel and joined in a hostel near her reading room. There she shared a room with two girls Keerthi and Bhavana. Both are nice to her. So, they became friends in a short time. A week passed, situations became worse in the institute. So, Maithree went to her hometown to get some peace. She didn't inform her parents about her situation in Hyderabad. After spending two days with her parents, she returned to Hyderabad. Since her course is near to completion, she concentrated on building projects for interviews in her reading room after classes. One day Keerthi took Maithree to her birthday party in the evening. After returning to the room, she felt dizzy and collapsed on the bed. She regained consciousness the next day. When she woke up no one was there in the room. Maithree went to her institute. After returning from the institute, she questioned Keerthi and Bhavana about what happened to her last night. They answered they didn't know. From that day onwards, Maithree started feeling dizzy, unable to walk properly, and her memory became poor. Her lecturers and classmates started gaslighting her. Rajesh gave mental torture to Maithree. When she complained to management, no one believed her.

Unable to bear mental pressure she went to her hometown. She became mentally unstable. Noticing her behavior, her parents took her to a psychiatrist. After running several tests, it was revealed she was given sedatives. Maithree was admitted to the hospital for therapy. The doctor told Ravi and Sandhya about Maithree's mental condition and advised them to withdraw from that institute immediately and never provoke her to remember the Hyderabad incidents. After 1.5 years of therapy, Maithree is doing fine now.

This life story taught me three lessons -

Sometimes even though we do hard work we won't get results.

If you are rising up, people try to pull you down.

You won't get any justice, even though there is no your mistake and you have to suffer for nothing.

Thanks for reading.
