Hi guys, welcome to my blog. It's been quite long that I took break from candlemonk due to some reasons. Now I am back. Today I want to share three rice recipes that may save your time and it is easy to make. It can be done either with left over rice or fresh prepared one. These recipes only take hardly 5 to 6 minutes to serve.
1. Lemon rice:
Well, many are familiar with lemon rice because most of the hostels gives this rice as breakfast. Let's see how it can be made.
Preparation:
Take a pan, add spoon full of ghee, allow it to get heat. For tempering, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, groundnuts, chana dal, urad dal were dropped in the heated ghee . After that put dried red chillies, curry leaves, hing and let them cook for 1.5 minutes. Now give a little amount of turmeric, stir for 1 minute. Allow the mixture to get cooled. Boiled rice, tempering, required amount of salt and lemon juice were mixed thoroughly. This dish tastes better with potato fry and mango pickle.
2. Garlic rice
Process:
Place a pan on stove, pour 1-2 tbsp oil, allow it to heat. Now add chopped garlic, and fry it for 2-3 minutes till they turn light golden brown color. Later, cooked rice, salt, and black pepper powder were combined. After stirring for 3-4 minutes, turn off the stove.
This dish gives heavenly taste when it is eaten with scrambled eggs or sunny side omelette.
To make sunny side omelette, brush the pan with oil, and crack the egg. drizzle salt, mixed herbs, and black pepper on the top. Enjoy the garlic rice with the tasty omelette.
3. Capsicum rice:
Procedure:
In a kadai, add few drops of oil, after oil reached its temperature, onions and tomatoes were fried one after other. Once the raw smell goes off, allow capsicum, and cook it for few minutes. In the next step, turmeric, coriander, red chilli powders, salt were given to the veggies and make them perfectly combined . Once the mixture gets cooked add freshly prepared rice and stir it for 3-4 minutes.
Capsicum rice goes well with raita. For making raita, churn the curd, add a little bit of salt, chopped onions, green chillies, and coriander. Mix it. Serve the capsicum rice with this raita. It will taste great.
