Life is like a wave at one instance it will make you to reach the top and at another instance it will throw you to the ground. If life is like a teacher then good times and bad times are chapters in that experience book. So, in this blog I want to share a story of Seetha Ram, a carpenter and what his life lesson taught him.

Seetha Ram who is a carpenter lives in Ramasamudram along with his wife Geetha and two children Ravi and Meena. Even though the daily wage he got through his work is small, the family lived happily. One day on his way to work, Seetha Ram stopped at a tea shop there he met an agent named Abdul who sends people to gulf countries for work. He told Seetha Ram not only how people he sent to Dubai became rich and leading happy life but also he promised Ram that he can help if he want to go to Dubai. This made Seetha Ram to think about his family and financial position. In the evening, he discussed this with his wife. At first his wife denied it but later she accepted the proposal. After six months, Seetha Ram landed up as a house keeper in a rich man's house in Dubai. On seeing his work the rich man gave him a supervisor position in one of his hotel. Seetha Ram's financial position gradually improved. They purchased some lands in their village and nearby town. This made their relatives feel jealous. Especially Geetha's brother Subba Rao and Sister in law Naga Ratna. Subba Rao and his wife started often visiting Geetha's home and started being nice to that family and assured Seetha Ram they will look after Geetha. Subba Rao had a son named Srinivas. He was doing engineering at that time he used to spend his weekend and holidays in Seetha Ram's home. Seetha Ram and Geetha helped Subba Rao's family financially many times they even gave financial support to Srinivas education. After four years, Srinivas got job as a software engineer in USA. Before going to USA, he promised Geetha and Ram that he will help them since they supported his education. In US Srinivas married to his colleague Radha who gave him huge amount of dowry. This made Srinivas and his parents become arrogant and they didn't value others. Years passed, Ram's son Ravi and Meena grown up. Ravi joined in a engineering college while Meena got a seat in Medical college. When Ravi is in his final year, due to changes in rules and regulations in Dubai government, they restricted the age limit of the employees from other countries who are working in their country. So, Seetha Ram got instant retirement. None of his children are settled at that time. This made Ram very sad. At that time Srinivas called Ram and told him he will help Ravi to get the job. He told few courses to learn so that he can help Ravi to get the job at his company and took seven lakhs in the name of visa process. Ram felt happy and asked his son to do so. After course completion, Ravi asked Srinivas to help him for which he answered wait for few more days. Three months passed, they never got call from Srinivas. Finally, Seetha Ram realised he got cheated when he confronted Srinivas parents they started talking like they never took help from Seetha Ram and insulted him for his financial status. This made Ravi, Meena, and Geetha angry. Ravi and Meena promised his parents that they will settle in life without anybody's help. As promised Meena became a doctor while Ravi got placed in a MNC with good package in Mumbai.

Seetha Ram and his family learned these lessons in ther life that relatives are real life snakes and we should be aware of them. We should not help people beyond our limits. Money can change people. We should depend on ourselves instead of others.
