Harry Potter series! Who doesn't love some crazy magic world where there's good and evil, wizards and muggles, magic and reality, basically everything one can think of. All Harry Potter characters made us fall in love with them. With their goofiness, sacrifices, wickedness and bravery they made themselves a part of our lives. 

But if we go to see, there were rarely any characters who were selfless. Everyone had their own motives which made them what they were. Except for one. Severus Snape. The guy. The legend. The most selfless guy. For those who don't know what he did or what makes him the best character of Harry Potter series… Below are few things which makes him the best.

1. Lily. His best friend who chose some other guy and had started ignoring him cause of some misunderstanding, Snape never let go of her. He didn't let his friendship die.
2. Snape was in love with Lily, but since she fell for someone else, he didn't make it a big deal neither did he fall for anyone else. He loved her till death.
3. He chose to protect her son Harry in secret. We all genuinely hated Snape till we realised who the real saviour was.
4. His patronium was a Dove. That signified how much he loved Lily. 

I know right. This guy feels like a dream. Years later there came movies which signify importance of true love or friendship wherein we shouldn't be expecting the same feelings from the other person as we feel about them. But Harry Potter series portrayed all these emotions in a perfect manner years ago. 

His life in this series is actually brilliant. It's sad. But brilliant. He wasn't made for this real world. He was too pure and too ideal. Something everyone should be. Okay let me not get distracted here, let's focus back on our character. He saved Harry's ass a million times and never took the credit or even made it a big deal and expressed that to Harry. He was part of the evil group but it was just to weaken them from within. Yes he was hated by the whole wizard school for ditching them, but that was just so that he could save all of them. He did so many things and all he received was hate till the end. Till his last breath. Till his last tear.

Yes, Snape is amazing and very much underrated. He's literally my all time favourite character. He defines true love, true friendship to me. Hope anyone reading this article gets a sense of appreciation for this legend.
