Hey there 😄

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to read my blog. Secondly, I hope you are having a wonderful day. 

I'm a girl and for a long time I had thought about starting a blogging account but never really went through with the plan. Now that my summer break is on I finally decided to give it a go. 

So last year I moved away from home as I was starting university. I knew it was going to be hard being away from my family and doing everything on my own. I was three months into uni when the Covid 19 pandemic started and everything shut down. All my classes began to have online lectures and every passing day I began to fell more and more homesick. 

The worst part about it was that I couldn't go home because of all the travel restrictions at the time. So I binge watched Netflix like everyone else. 

Till this day I have watched The Office more than five times since last year and I still watch it everyday. I swear the show is a masterpiece and each episode still feels fresh every time I rewatch it. 

That's enough of my rant on The Office. Maybe I'll write a full blog about it someday. 

Yes, so back to where I was- watching Netflix and doing minimal work. I think most of of you might relate to this (I'm not so sure though). This routine went on for some months and honestly I was somewhat happy with it (being the lazy person that I am 😂). I still didn't get to go home though. 😥

But the good part is that I got a chance to improve my cooking skills, learnt to cut my own hair, developed some new hobbies and more importantly I learnt how to be happy with myself. 

Maybe that's what being an adult is, accepting yourself just the way you are and working on how to make yourself better not for others but for you. 

I've had days when I cried a lot, when I couldn't think positive and did not want to get out of my bed but this quote always kept me going- 

“ You always pass failure on the way to success"
