Hello, welcome all in this we going to see about some interesting facts about earth.

So, now get into the topics.

The days are getting longer in the earth

The length of the Earth's day is increasing. Earth's day was approximately six hours long when it created (4.6 billion years ago). This had risen to 21.9 hours by 620 million years ago. The typical day is now 24 hours long, but it is growing by around 1.7 milliseconds every century.

In Earth gravity is not uniform

The gravitational field of Earth would be the same everywhere if it were a perfect spherical. But reality, the planet's surface is uneven, and flow of water, ice drift, and the movement of the tectonic plates beneath Earth's crust all change gravity's pull.

There weren't always several continents in the earth

For millions of years, the Earth's continents have had an on-again, off-again relationship. The huge tectonic plates that Earth's land masses ride on collided 800 million years ago, assembling the continents into a massive supercontinent named Rodinia, with what is now North America at its heart.

In the past, sea levels were very different

How Do We Measure Sea Level? | NASA Climate Kids

The most recent ice advance on Earth began around 70,000 years ago, terminated 11,500 years ago, and reached its greatest extent 18,000 years ago. During this time, glaciers and ice sheets carved out the basins of the Great Lakes and blocked rivers, diverting the Mississippi and other rivers in the United States. Since so much water was frozen as ice, sea levels plunged by much to 120 metres (390 feet), revealing areas of the ocean bottom.

The calm before the storm

It's not simply a myth: the calm before the storm does exist under the correct conditions. As a storm draws in warm, moist air from the surrounding atmosphere — its fuel — it leaves a low-pressure area behind. Air is transported up into the storm cloud by violent draughts, and part of it is driven aloft. These updrafts take the hot air and push it out over the edges of the tallest storm clouds, which may reach heights of 16 kilometres (10 miles). As the air descends, it becomes warmer and drier, becoming more stable. It blankets the area below and stabilises the air, leading individuals in that area to sense a calm before the storm.
