I am sure most of you must remember the daily soaps that used to be played on the TV channels in the '20s. If not then just to refresh your memory here are the prominent ones that took the household by the storm.

• Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki
• Kasauti Zindagi Ki
• Kasam Se
• Kumkum Bhagya

I guess now you might be remembering now. But have you ever wondered that though these daily soaps were super hit yet there were various aspects that can make us cringe and think is that really so?

If not here is a quick review of the shows and let see how many of you can actually relate to:

• The character the public loves the most is immortal. Dying and coming back to life after a lapse of years is quite common. In fact, it is common to expect that a character can pop up anytime after death.
• No matter where you live or where you are, the female lead has to fall at least once in the arms of her future husband for the love story to start. Well, it is hard to understand he knew he has to catch her.
• Yes, we started with love but well the hero is always a momma's boy until something dark happens to him or her wife to realize the evil nature of mother-in-law.
• Time flies so fast. Trust me you can bring in a lap of 20-25 years after every 100 episodes. But do you know that the lead will not age a minute.
• Praying for something good to happen and suddenly the Diya blows off. Now there is an evil power that is ready to destroy the family.
• One plastic surgery is important in the story. Be it the lead or the villain, it is sure that there will be plastic surgery, memory loss, or some other kind of catastrophe.
• Don't get me started on the bindi of the vamp. How come the evilness is directly linked to the length of the bindi.
• Capturing a reaction not less than 20 times is mandatory. Kya..kya…kya..!! I guess you got it for the very first time.
• Last the dress-up, all heavy jewelry, makeup, heels, and everything even while sleeping or cooking. Well, I don't think that really happens.

Though these shows defied the various logics, but there is no denying the fact that these were super hits. Indeed these were the ones that changed television history and are still one of the most liked by various households.
