The ultimate aim in chess is delivering a checkmate i.e trapping or ambushing your opponent king.
White is always first to move.
King can move one square horizontal, vertically, diagonally
Queen can move any no of vacant spaces vertically, horizontally, diagonally
Rook(Hathi) can move any no vacant squares vertically or horizontally horizontally.
Bishop (uth) can move any no of vacant squares in diagonally direction.
The knight (ghoda) movement can also be viewed as L or 7
Pawns(sipahi) can move forward one square, if that square is unoccupied. If it has not moved yet then pawn has a option of moving 2 square forward provided that both squares in front of pawn is unoccupied. A pawn cannot move backwards. They can capture an enemy on the two squares diagonally in front of them.
Some rules as:-
1)don't play the edge pawns
2)don't move your knight to the edge
3)dont use one peice too often.
4) don't use your queen too soon.
The three golden rules are :
1)move pawns to the centre
2)develop your knight and bishop early on.
3)castle to keep your king safe.
First you have to enhance or grow your peices. You need to get out as early as possible so as to use all your peices to its full power. Your small players like bishop and knight should come out first because Queen and rook are important they should come late in the game because they play a major role. You should first develop your players the best place to develop is at the centre.
You should not move a player twice so decide first and then move or you will just going to loose if you are confused. Don't take out your queen because the queen is more important than any other player. You need to castle or protect your king because this is the most efficient way of playing. Don't take your play to the edge you have to take them to the Centre because your player should cover maximum no of boxes. You have to first develope your small player and then you have to castle and then you can take your queen outside only if you hv coordinated with the rook
First think and then play. Be alert while playing your pawns because they are the one that cant come backside.
