Whenever you want to do something or want to try some new habit you can try this 2 min rule. Because at the beginning you feel motivated, you think of practicing a new habit for more hours and when 1 week passes you deliberately ignore that habbit because of lots of hindrances or resistance so starting of new habit does not matter the important thing is to sustain that habit for long period of time or you can say in other way continuing that habit for your lifetime.
Everyone at some point of time in their life must have written Journaling with failed after few days and even you know the benifits that associated with the Journaling is that when you write your thoughts and idea on your journal that will help you alot in your life But still you fail to continue it throughout your life. Because when you try to do something beyond a point that you will feel like a chore then there are higher chances of not getting along with your habbits. The secret is to write always below the point where you dont feel like work. There was a famous person who made a strong habbit of writing journaling by writing it within the limit. You must stop writing journal when you feel like its causing pain or feel strained. You must adopt this habbit of stop writing when you feel like you are going good. This strategy may feel like dumb to you but secret is that due to this strategy you can reinforce any habit with your identity. For instance if you decided to go gym and even you go to gym for 2 min in your initial period then you are unconsciously casting votes in favour of adapting that habit, here you don't have to worry about your health or the result of your body shape, you are becoming the type of person who never miss workout. we hardly think of this kind of strategy becuase we are more concerned with the end result of chiseled body But when you calculate you will see that by doing one pushup is always better than not doing any exercise. one minute of guitar practice is better than not practicing at all. similarly for serious reader one minute of reading is always better than not even picking up the book or opening the book.
