You all of experienced that whenever you are on a call there are many background voices coming. You may hear dog barking and baby crying. You might don't know that the dog tail is caught in refrigerator or baby is crying because he has to be fed and the worst case is if by chance the house is on fire and when you acknowledge the sound of dog barking or a baby crying by asking to the person you called then in this way you warm the hearts of listeners and he would appreciate your concern and in this way you win the heart of the listeners. 

Suppose you are talking to someone on call and suddenly the other phone start ringing then you should ask immediately to the receiver whether he or she has to attend the call even the receiver doesn't has to attend the other call but he will appreciate your concern or sensitivity towards other call. if he does have to attend the other call then you can be sure that he didn't listen to you after the first ring the other person might be thinking of how he could attend the other call without seeming rude to the other person on call with every ring irritation starts building and make him feel like hostage so i will give you a  technique to come out of such situation as a winner. 

these subtlety means a lot to someone who is faraway from you or sitting in other country and when you want to prove that you are at the top of communicator is when you leave a message to someone then you must give references according to their country timing. leave your message and also state that you will be available between 3 pm to 6pm their local time. You should never forget international holidays one of my friend from Australia who wished me happy independence day on 26 th January i was so impressed that i instantly opened international calendar noted 1 of july as happy independence week day. 

If you do business internationaly then you should remember holidays and make sure to wish them in these way you will get appreciation and they might wish you in return. so henceforth if you listen background sound of baby crying or a dog barking make sure to ask them what is the problem, if this is the right time to talk??
