  1. Bananas are Berries, but Strawberries Aren't!

2. Honey Never Spoils
Archaeologists have found pots of honey in ancient Egyptian tombs that are over 3,000 years old and still perfectly edible! Honey's long shelf life is due to its low moisture content and acidic pH, which inhibit bacterial growth.

3. Octopuses Have Three Hearts
These fascinating sea creatures have two hearts that pump blood to the gills, while the third pumps it to the rest of the body. Even more intriguing, octopuses have blue blood due to the copper-based molecule hemocyanin, which is more efficient at transporting oxygen in cold, low-oxygen environments.

4. The Eiffel Tower Can Grow in Summer
The Eiffel Tower in Paris can actually grow up to 6 inches taller during the summer. This is due to the expansion of iron when it's heated by the sun. When the temperature drops, the tower contracts back to its original height.

6. A Day on Venus is Longer Than a Year
Venus has an incredibly slow rotation, taking about 243 Earth days to complete one full spin. However, it takes only about 225 Earth days for Venus to orbit the Sun. This means a day on Venus (one full rotation) is longer than its year (one full orbit around the Sun).

7. There are More Stars in the Universe Than Grains of Sand on Earth
The number of stars in the observable universe is estimated to be around 1 x 10^24, or 1 septillion. That's more than all the grains of sand on every beach and desert on Earth combined!

8. The Heart of a Blue Whale is as Large as a Car
Blue whales are the largest animals to have ever lived on Earth. Their hearts alone can weigh as much as 1,300 pounds (about 590 kg) and are roughly the size of a small car. A human could easily crawl through its arteries!

9. Koalas Have Unique Fingerprints
Koalas, like humans, have fingerprints that are unique to each individual. In fact, koala fingerprints are so similar to human fingerprints that they can even confuse crime scene investigators.

10. There's a Species of Jellyfish That Can Live Forever
The Turritopsis dohrnii, also known as the "immortal jellyfish," has the unique ability to revert its cells to their earliest form and start its life cycle anew. This process, known as transdifferentiation, allows it to potentially live forever under the right conditions.

11. The Coldest Temperature Ever Recorded on Earth was -128.6°F
This chilling temperature was recorded at the Soviet Union's Vostok Station in Antarctica on July 21, 1983. It's the coldest temperature ever recorded on the Earth's surface.
