Children are affected with the new corona virus SARSCoV2 and can be infected with covid-19.However,it seems less than adults and the symptoms are generally mild.More data is needed to fully understand the role that children play in transmitting coronovirus and the virus in children, but early evidence suggests that children are less likely to be transmitted than adults.I am.
Is the child immune to the coronovirus?COVID-19 infection has been reported in all age groups, including infants, children, and young adults.Even so,studies consistently indicate that children under the age of 18 makeup only around 2% of total cases worldwide.
One explanation for these low numbers is that, because children often experience milder symptoms than adults, they are lleleslessless likely to be tested.
However, data from ountries that have conducted widespread ommunity testing for the virus suggest that children may also be likely to be infected in thefirst place. In south korea,Children younger than nine years accounted for first 1%labaratory test confirmed cases of covid 19,whereas children aged between ten and 19 accounted for 5.2% cases were found in children under 10 years old in random population screening.similarly,no cases were found among 374 children under 10 years old tested for virus in italian town of vĂ² ,where 2.4% of all people of all ages we were found to be infected.
Studies that have traced the contacts of infected people in guangzhou(5)and wuhan/shangai(6) ,china and in japan(7)also suggest that children are less likely than adults to test positive for the virus following exposure to an infected person -although one study from shenzenchina, suggested that they were equally susceptible to infection.among the first 150,000 confirmed cases of covid-19 in the United States, only 17% occurred in children under 18 years old, whereas children makeup 22% of the whole population.
