We all know since from many decades we are facing drinking water crisis. Due to shrinking of surface water or ground water. But science and technology is always there for finding solution for any kind of problems. Here is another example that proves the above statement. Without delay let's get into the topic.
By looking into blog title you came to know that I'm going to tell about a device called atmospheric Water Generator and it is also called Hydro panel.
“Speciality of this device is, it extracts water from humid ambient present in air. It produces potable water”.
Potable water is nothing but drinking water comes from surface and ground sources and is treated as level that meet standards for consumption.
Note: this technology is recognised as state of art technology.
Water vapour in the air can be extracted by multiple techniques. Like;
Two key things in this technique is temperature and humidity. Water production rates are controlled by them only. The ideal operating value of temperatures are 21 to 32°C with relative humidity between 40 to 100 %. Even some machines work with 15 to 20 % of humidity. The minimum amount of water like 6ltrs can be extracted with low humidity.
Energy is needed to extract water from air. This is the most drawback in this technology because it requires lot of power consumption and maintanance cost. Recently some researches found the solution for high power consumption by relaying on renewable resource like solar energy. The hydro panels which is key component in this technology is connected to solar panels for power up.
Some researches says that direct consumption of dehumidifier water is not safe. So purification of this water is must before using it. This is not a big issue because purifiers are easily available nowadays.
