Is Getting A Habit In 21 Days True To Its Sense ?!

People often say " do this for 21 days and it becomes a habit to you. "

Does this mean anything can become a habit in 21 days or does it pertain to only specific tasks?

According to science, they say, to develop a habit, it takes a lot of effort motivation, and the need for developing that particular habit should be strong. These are the factors that drive one to develop a habit and create a system for oneself to follow the necessary guidelines. So does that mean it is possible in 21 days?

But according to psychology, the facts are that it takes a minimum of 60 days (that is), 2 months to create and set up a habit since we can't be highly motivated consistently and we tend to go through many ups and downs during the specified period.

With these facts, we can conclude that the key to developing a habit is to be motivated and have full-on effort to have a change in your lifestyle.

Having said that, the habit we are going to develop must be genuine and must help us to achieve our goal in life and not something random, just for the sake of making a habit since our peers are setting up, which leads us nowhere.

Each one of us has different goals and have a different set of passion and each of us are unique in our way. Setting up according to this is very important since we need to be motivated to complete our job and tasks at hand to set up a routine or a habit.

Having short-term goals and fulfilling them and through this having a sense of accomplishment helps one to be motivated throughout the process of creating a habit, rather than having goals that aren't achievable in a shorter period. This demotivates us and we tend to stop keeping up with tasks and we start to procrastinate and this leads us to leave the job at hand.

Essentially it always depends on our motivation level on whether we can create a habit in 21 days or 60 days. The level of motivation and the level of our dedication to the job or the task at hand determines the speed at which we work and inculcate the habit onto our routine according to our needs.

These are my views on creating a habit and leading a better and planned lifestyle. Hope you'll like it.
