Jersey Review: This official Hindi remake of the national award-winning Nani Starer jersey (Telugu) traces the journey of a local star cricketer who retired from sports at the height of his career. Directing the original and remake, Gowtam Tinnanuri follows an emotional route with no judgment, telling the story of Arjun Talwar from the dressing room to the sociable dressing room and returning to the dressing room to which he really belongs. Characters played by Shahid Kapoor can be easily associated without playing the victim.
The special thing about this sports drama is that the protagonist does not embark on a self-reimbursement or goal-achieving journey to prove himself with a strong remark. This is about his father, who continues to be the hero of his son and his wife, and devotes himself to sports, knowing that granting a small wish to a child can hurt his existence.
Arjun's journey is also a journey to confront all difficulties. He is not easy to return to the flock. He has no age on his side and is slipping into his position at home, especially in the eyes of his wife, at every stage. .. Shahid is impressed when he has a crease, but he is even more impressive when he is having a hard time getting back there. Murnal Takul is a character who plays Arjun's hands-on, has acquired his spouse's Vidia, and is as friendly as Arjun. Her love, growing frustration, fear, hope and confusion were all well depicted. Both contribute to Shahid and Mrunal's powerful writing and infused performance. Shahid's preparation for the role of cricket player in the film is evident in the way he asserts himself on the pitch.
One of the moving highlights of the film is the friendship that Pankaji Kapoor shares with Shahid and the nuances he plays as an aging assistant coach. It's affectionate and wonderful to see them sharing the mood of their father and son and easily switching between friendly jokes. Played by Ronit Kamra, Kittu is a lens that watches filmmakers and, by extension, the audience unfold the story of Arjun. His compatibility with Shahid is clear. In the
technical department, the game was often filmed and choreographed. When Arjun was a star player, when he vowed not to stay on the field, and when he returned to the game, all the depictions of the passage of time were drawn in finesse. The changes in the contours of Shahid's body, the presence or absence of freckles on the face, and body language were put to good use. The same is true for Mrunal. In terms of writing and directing, this movie offers a lot with a run time of 174 minutes. Humor and inspirational moments come from the heart of the character and what they are trying to do. each
