Hey everyone! Hope you all are doing great. Have you ever asked yourself why do people like you? I do.
You know that situation when someone tells you they like you, but when you ask them why, they don't exactly know?
They fumble and intimidate to put their finger on that one thing, or more, as to why they like you, but they just can't come up with a explanation, and they give you unreasonable answers like, you are fun, you are creative, you are amazing, all the while hoping they are not hurting your feelings.
Ever heard this answer “like I don't know, I just do.”? And I felt that is the best answer I have ever get. Because to an extremely anxious person like me, honestly, it's a relief. They are telling me that they like me for existing in their life, and that there is no pressure on me to be a certain way for them.
No matter if I am jolly one day and have a mental breakdown another day. No matter if I smile a lot, and then I am all angry the next moment. They don't like me just for that, so I am not forced to pretend to smile a lot. They don't like me just because I tell funny stories or for my intellect, so I am not forced to have a story or a bold come back ready for them every single time. They don't like me just because I am fun at parties, so I can always choose to be not so fun on the days when I just can't.
They don't like me just because I play basketball, so I can choose to sit at home and watch a movie or webseries when I want to. And everything else that my over anxious mind will continuously think of if they had told me a reason.
But guess what? They simply just like me. And I think that is the best thing anyone could ever give someone like me. The best.
I want to end with this :
People like you are rare.. little drops of water, makes the mighty ocean.. likewise if everyone thinks so, this world looks beautiful.
People are definitely gonna fall in love with the idea of having you. So, love yourself for people who love you.
