The moment we wake up early in the morning, we are already on our heels to run for the tight day we have ahead. We often think that working hard continuously for long hours would make us more productive.

"The more we work the more productive we are" it's the motor we have been working with since ages.

Even, used to work like a manic and slump over after sometime for being unproductive because even if I worked hard for very long hours I just could not reach my target nor truly comprehend my studies.

Recently I have come across this wonderful term called ultradian rhythm and it's the best term and have come across recently.

What are ultradian rhythms??

These ultradian rhythms are the biological rhythms that occur throughout the day; Generally these ultradian rhythms last between 90 to 120 minutes. It's a 90 minutes cycle.

During this cycle we go through different phases where our focus and attention is optimum to the phases where they start to decline and finally get reduced to the lowest minimum value.

Now you may ask why are these Ultradian rhythms important?!

It's an open secret that productivity actually gets optimised when you mend your schedule through this ultradian rhythm.

Ultradian rhythm actually runs throughout the day and rhythm means oscillating. So in an ultradian rhythm you'll find phases with optimum productivity and least productivity.

They are important to learn so that you can use this to increase your productivity and efficiency.

What to do?!

Ultradian rhythms are very important if you want to be highly productive within a short time and strategize your work. When you start to do a new work or learn something new, the first 5 to 10 minutes would be hard. It's frictional. It would be agitating and stressful. But go through it. It is natural. Do it, so that you can reach a deep focus and attention zone, where you have your optimum focus and attention. You are highly productive during this period of time so better plan your schedule so that important events do match with the optimum productivity peak of your ultradian rhythm.

and after this face your brain that exhausted slightly and your body and brain slows down employing the initiation of your resting place.

Take a break aur rest for a while or maybe sleep during the break time; it generally lasts for 20 minutes. Break time does not always mean you are sleeping. You can engage in some other work that does not include learning anything new. You can just take a walk or talk with someone you are close with or drink some water.

you can take a minimum of five minutes to a maximum of 30 minutes break during this period. Your brain organises and reorganizes what you have learnt during your 90 minutes cycle Your body cleanses the waste generated from the 90 minutes work.

How to find your ultradian rhythm?!

1.Follow your body's signs of creativity and fatigueness closely.

2. observe when do you actually feel your body slowing down.

3.Think about the times when your brain actually rejects or slows down accepting the information.

4.Track your time for a few days and then it would be natural to mend your schedule with your ultradian rhythms.

PS: Quality always overtakes quantity so better give rest your brain and body rather than actually forcing it to do something which it is actually resistant to do.
