As I have a lot of bottles to paint….I shall be explaining as to how to paint a bottle in different ways and I'm going to share my own art work.Glass can be painted using glass paint, acrylic paint, oil paint and the paint sprays which will look beautiful and crafty and it will give it a glossy and shiny finish.Matt finish paint sprays can also be used.
To paint a glass you need the following materials
1.Paint(colour of your choice)
2.Sponge(with a stick at one end to hold it preferably)
3.A large painting brush
4.A cup of water
Wash the glass bottle properly, remove the cap,the sticker over it
The sticker can be removed by immersing it in hot water for a while and washing it off or scrubbing it off.Let the bottle be dry ,start painting according to your planned design
My suggestion is,you can paint the whole bottle in a single colour as a background then do the design over it with a contrasting colour of the background.Fading colours can also be used (sponge can be used for blending at the junction of two paints).Let it dry.Paint the design.Try to create your own designs rather than copying it from somewhere else
If paint spray has been used you can outline the design in a pencil and then paint on it
In case of Glass paint-we have an outliner of black or different colours then fill the gaps with other glass paint colours.
Take time for the minute details.
Few beautiful colour combinations are
Gold and black
Orange and black
Red and cream
Blue and cream
Grey and black
Green and brown
Always paint the basic color of the bottle with tow coats of paint so that it looks finished
Always try the colour on one corner of the bottle and then only proceed with the planned design. Dont be afraid to try on new colours and designs. Be bold in colour choosing and the design ; nothing is out of fashion even the abstract paintings are of value and are aeshtetic.
too less is too much is the concept you have to follow. Too many things on the same palate ruins it so be simple and elegant be sure of your type of design and dont mix two types of design unless it really blends. Keep on creating art and enjoy the process.
