Today, i am going to tell you about our brave Indian soldiers whose story remained untold. These soldiers fought in the 1971 India-Pakistan war. In this war Pakistan was defeated badly and it was also divided into two which later came to be known as Bangladesh.

These soldiers were called 'The missing 54' which after 1971 war never returned to India. During war India had captured 93000 Pakistani soldiers which were returned back to Pakistan safely. Pakistan never returned our 54 soldiers and always told lies to India that they had not captured any of the missing 54 Indian soldiers.

Families of these soldiers are still waiting in hope of their homecoming. We all know how does Pakistan treat Indian soldiers. They are very brutal towards our soldiers. There may be some Indian soldiers somewhere still alive in Pakistani jail.

It's a true incident, whole world knows that Pakistan had captured 54 Indian soldiers and Pak army & government refused to accept that they had kept 54 Indian soldiers but one of the Pak government had accepted that they have 54 Indian soldiers in their different jails. Red Cross Society also went for interrogation to Pakistan but they also lied to Red Cross Society.

After the war ended, Indian soldiers sent letters from Pakistan jail which is a true evidence for their capturing and imprisonment by Pakistani army.

The families of these soldiers demanded justice from Indian government but got no response in return. On the other hand, instead of providing justice to these families Supreme Court of India declared this missing soldiers as dead or lost.

Everybody knew that these brave soldiers were captured and imprisoned in Pakistani jails but nobody raised a voice against them. Few years back some news channels raised and published articles so that people may get aware of what Pakistan has done to these 54 Indian soldiers.

The very truth is that these brave soldiers sacrifice their lives so that we remain calm and live a peaceful life. They are the one who stand with heavy weapons in front of enemies so that nobody could enter and destroy our loving India. I know that we cannot fight with our enemies but what we can we are not doing that also. We are slowly forgetting our heroes that sacrificed their lives for us  leaving  their own family, children in misery, all for the sake of citizen and nation.

We must always remember them and we shall always have repect for them but nowadays it seems to be vanishing. The main aim of this article is to make you aware of what has happened to these soldiers and why people of India are day by day forgetting them?

On this  true incident a movie is also made named 1971 in which actor Manoj Bajpai has played the character of Major Suraj Singh which is one of the soldiers among the missing 54.

This movie portrays a picture of inhumanity of Pak army. The movie shows the 54 soldiers who were captured by Pak army and how they plan to get out from Pakistan base camp- Chaklala and return back to India. The journey to return back to India is started by 5 soldiers of whom only 1 that is Major Suraj Singh touches the Indian border but he is shot dead by Pakistani army as they claim him to be a terrorist as he has a id card of pakistan origin which he had used to cross the checkpoint of Pakistan.

The ending is very emotional. If you think deeply you will be unable to stop your tears. You can watch this movie on youtube.

Just go to youtube and search 1971 and watch it.

This line of movie-" Hame pata nhi bharat ne hame kyo bhula diya aur Pakistan hame kyo bhulana chahta hai " is really heart- touching. It really made me feel emotional.😭😭
