Hey all.. lets take a love potion. one of the most heart touching stories for you all.
Being an Army brat, I always loved to travel new places, meet new people, make new friends and learn in new schools. This time we got shifted to Kolkata. We got very beautiful house to stay, It had a garden blooming with smiling flowers. There was an Army boarding school in our neighborhood. Their drill ground and our backyard was sharing a wall. I was having summer holidays for school and met no friends. I simply used to watch television and hang out with myself.
One day, I was in backyard, building castles in the air, as soon as I reached my fantacy world, I heard someone sobbing. I climbed on the chair to check and I saw a boy behind the tree, wearing white shirt and olive green pants. I tried to make an inquiry, but he got startled and started running towards the ground. After three days, I saw the same boy. This time without wasting time, I asked him about why was he crying? “I was so famished, but we are not allowed to have anything till our dinner time” he answered. I felt so bad and so rushed to the kitchen, grabbed an apple (hiding from my mom) and handed it to that boy. That spark and smile on his face made me happy. Next day he came at same time and this continued till a week. We never had a chance to even have a word with each other.
It was my eleventh birthday, I was so happy that, the mysterious boy will get my birthday cake. I climbed up the chair as before and was waiting for him. My happiness, my eagerness to see him again, all went in vein. He didn't showed up. I used to wait for him daily on chair at same time, but nothing changed.
10 years passed. We moved to Pune. The whereabouts of that boy were still fresh in my head. It was my twenty-second birthday, again the same, each birthday used to make me think about the boy with whom I was half acquainted and waiting for him to share a cake with me.
My best friend arranged a surprise party for me at her house, with all my friends. After having fun while eating cake, we decided to play truth and dare. My best friends cousins, who were staying at her place for holidays also joined us. Rounds passed, bottle was rotating, making people do some silly dare or tell the truth. After some time, the bottle pointed towards one of the cousins of my friend. He chose truth. He was asked about his best memories. He thought for a moment and said, “when I was studying in Army boarding school, I met one kind little girl, who gave me apples daily. But, now I regret not asking her name. today I don't even know where is she”. From that day it has become the most beautiful memory for me, he added.
Boommm!!! here my heart literally skipped a beat. I stopped still with my eyes filled with water. I somehow managed to talk, “was that girl used to stand on chair and wait for u to finish the apple?” I asked. His wyes suddenly got more bigger, filled with plethora of questions while turning to me. “how do you know?” he questioned. I jumped happily in the air and said, “the girl you are talking about is standing right in front of you.” He seemed so confused. But after short struggle with his thoughts, he somehow managed to stand up. In a spur of moment, he hugged me and started to drop tears, my mind took a minute to process everything that was happening.
So here, the mysterious boy, I was looking for like 10 years, was in my arms. That time I got to know his name, ‘Vihaan’ it was. I really felt like some kind of fairy tale going on in my life. I believed in DESTINY, and helped me meet the mysterious boy, who was running in my mind for years.
