ELON MUSK the great businessman and the world's richest person buys TWITTER. This news is spread like wildfire. Twitter's board also agreed to sell the company accepting the offer of ELON MUSK to buy Twitter for roughly around 44 BILLION, 54.20 per share in cash. Once acquired by musk Twitter will become a privately owned company
Well, this didn't happen overnight. Well, Elon Musk joined Twitter in 2009 and he expressed his interest in buying it in 2017. When Musk said he has lined $46.5 Billion to buy twitter the board of Twitter gave in. on 31 January 2022 Musk quietly started buying shares in Twitter. On 14 March accumulated over a 5% stake. Well in April he bought 9.2% of the shares. Well when the owner of Twitter requested ELON MUSK to join the meeting of boards he decline intend after some days he proposed the idea of buying Twitter
Well later on Twitter's board held a talk with musk. On 25 April 2022, a day later after the meeting sealed the deal in ONE OF THE BIGGEST TECH BUYOUTS in recent times. Well, now he is the owner of TWITTER. Now it has become a privately owned company. And now Twitter will undergo some very important changes
Well, Elon Musk thinks that Twitter lacks Freedom of Speech and he himself calls it a Free Speech Absolutist. Twitter as a platform does not have the authority to squash free speech in any way that they like and they decide which content should be on the platform and which do not. Elon Musk believes the algorithms that decide what content will work should be made public and that is what Elon musk thinks
Elon Musk is the world's biggest financial influencer. He is such an influential person that before he makes any financial tweet. HE needs Securities and exchange commission (SEC) permission because people can take any decisions under her influence which can cause ups and downs. Well, he does not want the power to go out of his hands. I don't know about the Freedom of speech for you and me but Elon Musk worries about his own freedom of speech
