So, my topic is about Intelligence
What is intelligence?
Intelligence refers to the ability to understand complex ideas and adapt effectively to the environment,learn from experience,engage in various forms of reasoning and overcome obstacles through careful thaughts. The word intelligence is derived from the Latin verb-intellegere which means understanding.in ancient India great rishis named it viveka. 
Characteristics  of intelligence 
[  ] The abiloty to solve problems
[  ] The capacity  to adapt and learn from experiences
[  ] Includes Characteristics  such as creativity and inter personal skills
[  ] The mental abilities  that enable one to adapt to, shape,or select ones environment. 
[  ] The ability to change,compreh2nd and reason
[  ] The ability to understand and deal with people, objects and symbols
[  ] The ability to act purposfully,thinm rationally,and deal effectively  with the environment.
[  ] He develops a sense of discrimination  between right or wrong
[  ] The develpomental period of intelligence is feom birth to adolescence
[  ] There is a minor difference  in the development  of intelligence between  boys and girls
[  ] There arw individual differences with regard to the intelligence between boys and girls.
[  ] Intelligence  is mostly determined  byheredity but a suitable environment necessary to improve it.

Determinants of intelligence 

Most psychologist  believe  that both heredity (nature)and environmental experiences(nurture)are  important  in determining  intelligence.  Heredity  provideed the physical  body  to be developed  with certain inherent capabilities while environment provides for  the maturation and training of the organism.

Nature: genetics of intelligenc  is that it is not controlle  by a single “intelligence gene” instead,a result of complex interaction  between many genes. in 1940 Newman cocluded that variations in IQ were  determine  about 68%by heredity and 32% by environment. 

Defenitons of intelligence 

Spearman(1904)-"A general ability  which involves  mainly  the education of relations and correlates "

Weschler(1939)-"The aggregate or global capacity  of the individual to act purposefully to think rationally  and deal effectively  with his or her environment "

Binet and Simon(1905)-" The ability to judge well,to understand well and to reason well"
