Questions One Should Ask Themselves For A Successful Life

Life is like a roller-coaster ride. It has many ups and downs, many a times to the extreme level. Before this Covid-induced lockdown, I used to earn 80k per month from my passive income, and now it is not even 20k per month. Such is a life. Sometimes it ascends us to a point of vantage and at the same time it becomes too precarious to be persevered. My life has been a journey so far. Sometimes, I didn't realize and life happened. But all those fiascos in my life so far have given me a vivid picture as to what should we do and should we avoid. This has led me to form these very questions which are so common yet uncommon as most of us avoid them for the sake our lethargy. As soon as I started focusing more on these questions, I had my answers. Life has started changing.

Are we thankful to what we have?

There's a saying by a very great philosopher that one should not deprive him/her with two words i.e. 'Thank you' and 'Sorry'. Then why are we not grateful to this universe for what we are blessed with? Showing gratitude is not just empowering but it also obliterates the greed from within. Erstwhile I was greedy and so was not thankful. Once I started showing gratitude, things have changed.

Why are we giving unsolicited advices?

We human beings have tendency to give unnecessary advices which are not sought at first place. If a person tells us something, listen compassionately but don't give them advices unless you are asked for it. A very basic etiquette one should follow religiously.

Do we have any routine?

Having a routine will bring control in one's hand and mind. Just start and make a habit of doing any routine work you like be it blog writing, reading newspapers or journals/novels, walking, running and so on.

Are we still overthinking?

If I were to synonymize a word with overthinking, it would be impasse. As they say, “Too much analysis will lead to paralysis”. Enough said.

Why are we comparing ourselves with others?

Wanna lose motivation in life? Then try comparing yourself with others. Each and every being is unique within themselves. Everyone's life varies to some point or other, which out rightly rules the possibility for comparison with others. Trying to do what other people are doing will be the biggest trap you can ever snare into because they will keep on changing the channels and you will keep on dancing to them.

Got fearful after constant failures?

A situation where most of us, including me, get trapped. We people afraid to take risks, and that is where we failed. Take risks because you can't fail for rest of your life. There are many successful people including many entrepreneurs who are accustomed to this situation. They became successful as they took risks unlike the ones born with golden spoon. Just work harder to improve 1% everyday and you will see the results. Never let this insect i.e. fear of failure stops you. Trust me, with each failure you will learn something.

Aren't we clear of what we wanted to do and why?

My life is whole and sole testimony to this question as I wasted a lot of time since I did not have clarity on what to do in my life. My life's preferences have kept on changing with the ups and downs in my life.

Are we also not helping the needy ones?

Going by an adage, the more we give, the more we get in life. Be it materialistically or non-materialistically, helping someone will certainly helps us one day.

Can't we say “NO” to time and money wasting elements?

Time is priceless, money is essential… Balance is the key. Enough said.

Last but not the least.. this is not a question but an advice to be followed religiously- Never underestimate your parents or guardians or elders. They are sages and we are fledglings. We can never reach to their level. It was not the competent of Arjuna and team which led to their win in Mahabharata, but it was Shri Krishna's Sudarshan Chakra which wasn't noticeable or visible during the whole war and it was kept on obliterating warriors heads in disguised form of advices offered to Arjuna.
