This blog continuation of the previous blog where i would have cited the Incidents which happened was said to be the result of this Temple's curse and Today I am going to explain about the reason for this curse.

So there are two stories was said to be reason and these stories can said as urban legends and these stories are believed by people over the place in and around this Temple. 

In India Raja Raja Cholan's history was well documented in Indian history and the fact about his death is still a mystery which was not documented. so basically because of his death which was a mystery people over the years narrated the storys and this is the reason for the those two urban legends.

Firstly, This Temple was built by The Great Chola and The idea was given to him by his guru and told him to build a temple which last for more thousand years over time and King's name would last forever. After His conceptualization of his Guru, The King accepted and builds the temple and The temple was built in 7 years which was a great achievement. During this there came several Debates between the two, The King and His Guru. On the day of Opening Ceremony there came a debate between those about the language in which the Slokas to be recited and the king wanted it to be in Sanskrit and In Tamil by his guru and ofcourse King won the debate and At one Point Guru seemed to lose his control and gave a curse. On a later period The King Died in the Temple.

Secondly, The Great Chola was a great ruler and captured people over the sea and There was a King Mahinda over the sea supported other rulers who opposed Chola and After losing the battle, Mahinda sent a young girl to the chola dynasty and she became a better and known in chola kingdom. One day when the king was on top of temple on a flight or on checking something he was pushed down by the girl and the king died due to that Incident. Because of such a reason Rajendra Cholan doesn't disclose the reason of death of his father.
