In the world where men should be masculine and bulk and described as handsome and where women should be feminine and elegant and described as beautiful and pretty. Can't a male be beautiful and pretty? Can't a girl be handsome? To an extent it is accpted in our society where girls can be boyish, titled as tomboy, but men where labled as beautiful, pretty and cute? In the typical Indian society I am in, there is none. Women wearing men's clothing are fashion but if men wore a female clothing, as the society says, he is questioned about his sexuality. What a bullshit of a society we live in. Who differentiated clothes into female clothing and male clothing? The answer will be something along an idiot who couldn't think straight. The society shapes our mind, way of thinking and our life style. When I call a boy cute, he takes it as an insult or me questioning his sexuality. Why this problems arises in this 21st century? Ain't this the generation with open mind and accepting heart? Why can't a man cry? Ain't he a human who has all those emotions everyone feels? Then why does society says a man to stop crying and man up? These is nothing to man up about and the only solution is to change the mindset of the people in the society. Let's say a girl in jeans and shirt, which is name as manly clothing, is pretty much accepted but how will you react to see a man, boy or a male in skirt? The answer obviously is to make comments about him, questioning his mental health as if he's gone mad or something. Can't we accept that too? Does every male need to be bulk, masculine, buff and all that, can't they be pretty, elegant, beautiful and cute too? Let's welcome these changes with open arms and let boys, men, male live without imposing them, stressing them to live up to those toxic masculine useless standards. A girl can also be buff, can be boyish, not into the so called girly girl clothes that the previous generation loved. They don't need to fit the so called standards which were set by the society and the people in the society. There is no such things as "like man" or "like women". Everyone are human beings and everyone is unique. Let them be themselves and me be myself with every choices I make. We live only once. Live the life as you wish so than you can love your live the most and attain the self satisfaction and the content feel which we cannot get if we just live to fulfill the standard and expectations set by the society itself. Try to change the society and embrace the changes with wide smile.
