A gentleman next door seeks to find love while coping with issues in his fractured family. How long will it take him to realise that what he is seeking is right there in front of him?
Review of the movie Thiruchitrambalam: Mithran Jawahar crafts a sweet-natured drama in Thiruchitrambalam, playing with well-worn clichés but injecting just enough newness to keep us interested and ultimately make us smile as we leave the theatre. The director has two performers in Dhanush and Nithya Menen who effortlessly make their characters likeable, which increases the appeal and charm of the movie.
Thiruchitrambalam (Dhanush) aka Pazham, a food delivery man, and his relationships are the focus of the narrative. Thiruchitrambalam (Bharathirajaa), his grandfather, is the a good person. The "rom-com" is merely a veneer, never taking centre stage. In reality, Mithran writes these characters and the environments they live in in a wonderful way. In the present, Pazham makes an effort to get close to Anusha (Raashi Khanna), his high school sweetheart. She hails from what appears to be the upper class, while he works for a food delivery service. Ranjani (Priya Bhavani Shankar), who is from Thiruchitrambalam's own village and is steadfastly devoted to her roots, then enters the scene. Thiruchitrambalam assumes the role of the attractive middle man in both of these scenarios but is unable to ascend or descend. He is nowhere to be found. Additionally, there is Shobana, a wonderful Nithya Menon. She has always been fantastic, so when has that changed? Mithran draws on Anusha and Ranjani's past.
Consider the scenario where Pazham gets ready to go on a date with Anusha, not realising that she will later break his heart. And the movie quickly flips this with the hilarious line, "Why are you dressed like a server?" Shobana. We chuckle. Not at the expense of the characters, but rather because of how absurdly absurd they are. In essence, the happy atmosphere is sustained throughout. We get a wonderful inversion even in the fantastic sequence where Pazham is shown his place in a foreign planet after being warned off by someone. Thiruchitrambalam comes closer to reality because of this absence of judgement and the capacity to laugh aloud with someone who has your back even in your darkest moments.
You can kind of predict where the movie is going somewhere in the final quarter. Actually, you don't mind that. Nevertheless, you support Dhanush and Nithya Menon. Watch out for Nithya Menon's reaction, especially
