Being An Introvert - A Shame??? Part (I)

Hello guys! Hope you all are doing good in these tough times. Well for some the tough times may be the boredom, or for some it might be mental stress. Wish you get the strength to cope with all those problems.

Today I'm here with a topic which is kind of seen as a shame to have as a quality. Yes, being an INTROVERT! You know that there can two types of personalities in the world - Extroverts and Introverts. You might have a basic idea about them as well. The former one socialize with the outside world pretty much easily but the later one can't. I'm not gonna explain you the differences in between them. I just wanna clear some misconceptions surrounding the introverts.

So first about the Extroverts. What's not to tell about them. They make friends easily. They can be seen partying, travelling, making fun all the time. They are the ones with high confidence, good speaking skills and high self-esteem. Basically they are Happy - go - Lucky and Daunting personalities. At least what they look like.

Now lets talk about the Introverts. These people will always be in their own world. They are not that good speakers. They are close to very few. Even though they might be highly skilled, they won't show it to others. You'll not see them much in the parties, or on the trips. They won't smile much. Will always have a serious look on their face. Minding their own business. They are not People Person

But all these qualities don't make them a sad person. This is just the crust of them. You don't know their core. Because they don't show it to everybody. And if you judge them or even yourself on these basis then you are the sickest person of the world.

The basic reason for introverts to not open up is the fear of judgement. It's no ones first choice to get stuck in four walls and spend your whole life thinking that others are better than them. But the situations they've gone through make them to choose.

You know what… you become an introvert when you don't get much exposure to the people. And it is not an overnight phenomenon. This starts at very young age, your schooling days. You are told not to talk to any strangers. They fill your mind by saying that the outside world is dangerous. They even stick the judgements of the society too to the issue. If something bad happens to you or you are seen doing bad by someone you'll lose your respect in the society. So you should not surround yourself with the negative influences and best way to do that is not talk to anybody in the first place. You are restricted from going outside even to your friends house.

And this repeated hitting with the rules and regulations will ultimately result into the gradual cut-off from the others. You'll talk less so you'll make less friends or may be no friends at all. There will be no one to whom you can share your feelings. You will always be scared of what others will say. You will start considering yourself inferior to others. This will reduce your self-confidence. Again because of that disbelief in own you will try to avoid people by not talking to them at all. And this vicious cycle keeps continuing

Here I'll take a pause because this issue can't be described in a single stretch. In this part we saw how the journey of a person starts towards becoming an introvert and how it can affect them. In the next blog I'll tell if being an introvert is really a shame or not… So stay tuned!!!

Until then stay safe, stay happy.
