Hey all it's me Sashaa. If you are new to my blog please do check out my previous blogs. You can get a clear idea of who I am and also we could create a good connection between us. I have introduced myself and also my cute adorable puppy.

Okay so most of you'll love biryani isn't it? Yes, even I love biryani a lot. It tastes so yummy that I can eat two plates at one go. Haha just kidding. If you too are a biryani lover then like this post and let me know.

Not just eating I love to cook as well. If you have read my previous blogs you would have noticed my passion for cooking. 

Biryani:

Biryani is the food which is made up of cooked basmati rice with a combination of spices and it is mixed with marinated meat / vegetables as per choice. It is consumed as a main course often with raitha / kurma. It tastes best when it is served hot. 

Interesting Facts About Biryani:

  1. The word biryani was first derived from the Persia. The word 'birinj' ment rice and the word 'biryan' ment fried / roasted.
  2. Biryani was introduced to India by Conqueror Timur in 1398.
  3. Biryani is very similar to ‘Oon Soru'.
  4. Once when Begum Mumtaz visited the battle field she saw soldiers lacking nutrition. Begum Mumbai asked the chef to cook lavish meals so that the soldiers gain back their nutrition. It is believed that the lavish food during those times filled with nutrition was Biryani.
  5. There are different styles of Biryani made in different parts of India. They are - biryani cooked using Charcoal, biryani cooked using dum, Cooked Biryani, semi- cooked Biryani and Biryani cooked using steam.
  6. It is the most searched food item in Google.
  7. There are eight types of biryani that are very famous. They are - Biryani made in Lucknow, biryani made in Malabar, Biryani made in Thalassery, biryani made in Memoni, Biryani made in Kolkata, biryani made in Dindugal, biryani made in Ambur and biryani made in Hyderabad.
  8. Biryani at firs  was cooked with meat but as years passed now there is usage of egg, fish, meat and vegetables.
