Pathu Thala's first half lasts around an hour and ten minutes, and Silambarasan makes his dramatic entrance in the final five minutes. Even though it doesn't do anything particularly noteworthy or compelling, the first half at least had the feel of a typical gangster movie setup. Pathu Thala's second half, which is entirely hero-focused and destroys any potential grey areas that viewers might have anticipated in a mafia movie, is what ultimately brings the movie down. Obeli N Krishna's rendition of the Kannada film Mufti is a shoddy effort with an exhausting second half riddled with predictability and cliches.

Pathuthala (Tamil) (Tamil) A clumsily written drama with a weak, suspenseful screenplay that strains your patience in the first half but improves in the second Simbhu steals the show with Mass entry and holds the second half by himself in Director Krishna's official remake of Mufti. However, the script only works in spots and on the whole is exhausting to watch. GVM's toloa villain role is weak, but Gautham Karthik gives a good performance. The cinematography is technically sound, and the AR BGM is average. Editing could have been improved, particularly the first half's abrupt cuts. Overall, this movie may have been better if the scripting and screenplay had been done.

One of the best political crime dramas we've ever seen, without a doubt!

Although the story is a little drawn out, the screenplay pulls all the threads together and provides a satisfying number of thrilling & entertaining scenes throughout the running time. Additionally, the setup for the main plot is superbly done. STR's character development and the other actors' character development over the first half increase the audience's suspense!

The movie also picks up its pace in the second half following the captivating intermission block and moves towards the main plot with a positive conflict point!

Simbu's sibling relationship was quite emotionally effective!

And character development in leading parts is really fascinating... Every participant in the production gave the climax portion of the set their all-out effort.

a good film to see. Even if the second half of the film dragged a little, it didn't have an impact on the overall quality of the film. The comic aspect, being a cop and mobster combination, did work out extremely well. It was amusing at times to watch Gowtham Menon attempt to play a stern politician because the part wasn't as sophisticated as he is and the filmmaker utterly botched up the boss villain. To be honest, all the performers did a good job of portraying their characters, but Simbu and Gautham Karthik did a terrific job. For those who saw the movie in theatres, the battle scene towards the conclusion with the background music by ARR is a pleasure.

This film was enjoyable all around.

The movie's opening act was intriguing and special in its own right. Even though Simbu didn't appear in much of this scene, it nevertheless had a big impact.

The second half, nevertheless, stuck to the typical masala movie clichés in India. Yet, Simbu's choice to forgo having a specific heroine dance for him set the film apart from the usual masala fare.

As for the music, the BGM and tunes by the great AR Rahman were flawless, as one would anticipate from such a talented musician.

Recently, Gautam Menon has shown off his abilities as a villain on screen, which is pretty appropriate given his demeanour. The overall film can be categorised as another Kollywood masala blockbuster, nevertheless.

The film "Pathu Thala" is exciting and captivating, and Silambarasan, commonly known as Simbu, gives a standout performance. His well-executed action sequences reveal his prodigious talent and devotion to his profession. The film has a strong emotional impact on the audience in addition to being entertaining.
