Cherrapunjee is located around 55 km from southwest of Shillong India, many people will recognize from the seven sister fall in Meghalaya. Cherrapunjee known for having world's highest average annual rain fall level approx. 450 Inches, this is the reason we know it as the wettest place on planet because it does not rain all day in Meghalaya, but it does rain everyday 

Cherrapunjee look breathtakingly beautiful everyday anyone who is monsoon and chai lover should visit this place it has the perfect weather to enjoy the aroma of chai.

Living root bridges of Cherrapunjee located in the dense tropical forest of Meghalaya these root bridges are quite famous and worth watching and walking on them, made by the local people of khasi tribe it is a fantastic nature wonder. The roots are from the ancient rubber tree these roots are grown in such a manner that they form the shape of bridge as they entangled into each other, these root bridges are the perfect alternative of other wooden bridges due to rain. It is said that after 15 years the roots become so strong that it can bear the weight of 50 people.

Guwahati is the nearest well-connected city to reach Cherrapunjee, Air travel and train are the best way to reach Cherrapunjee, Although Guwahati is approx. 181 KM  from Cherrapunjee. If you are interested in road trip, you can travel by car or bike from Guwahati to Cherrapunjee, a bike ride of 3hrs and 30min is enough to take you to the beautiful lands and scenes.
