INDORE…it is one of the most populous and largest city in Madhya Pradesh. It is also considered as an education hub of the state and has campuses of both the Indian Institute of Technology and the Indian Institute of Management.

Indore is a city in west central India. It is known for the 7 story Rajwada Palace and Lal Bagh Palace, which date back to 19th century Holkar dynasty.

While Indore today is a large industrial, educational and business hub of Madhya Pradesh, the Malwa Sultans, the Mughal and the Marathas left their mark on the region with magnificent monuments (forts, temples, etc.) that are worth visiting on day trips or even for a night out of Indore.

Indore has been selected as one of the 100 Indian cities to be developed as a Smart City under Smart Cities Mission. Indore is also known as cleanest city of India.

Indore's culinary culture has a blend of Maharashtrian, Malwi, Rajasthani, and Gujrati influence. The street food of the city is especially popular. The most noteworthy street food places in Indore are Chappan Dukaan and Saraafa Bazaar.

As part of the smart city project, the Chappan Dukaan area has been developed as a smart food street. The cost of this project is Rs. 40 million and has been implemented in 45 days.

Saraafa Bazaar which is India's only night street food market attracts large crowd from the city and tourists from various places.

Morning in INDORE starts with the the one and only dish called “POHA-JALEBI”.

One of the popular street foods in Indore. This Indori Poha is very different from the other Poha that is why it is famous for. It has a sweet and sour taste. This is the specialty of Indore.

Street food of Indore is renowned with eateries that have been active for generations. The most famous breakfast item is Poha with Jalebi.

Whatever the occasion is POHA-JALEBI will be the permanent snack for everyone. It is very quick and easy to cook.  To give some authentic taste to the dish Indoris (people of Indore) add some jeeraavan masala to it along with Ratlaami Sev or Indori Sev, Masala boondi (nukti), and some pomegranate seeds (anar dana).
