The story is all about the Richardson family, which consisted of mom Debra, dad Marc, eight years old son Jacob, and 12 years old daughter jasmine, which took place at medicine hat, Canada.
The family was a loving, caring, and close family. When the incident took place, Jasmine was 12 years old, which means she was approaching her teenage. Her parents noticed that she was changing her behavior following appearance and body language. Earlier she used to wear pick or bright color clothes like a normal kid, but then she started showing interest in darker clothes and darker makeups, and I guess it was the first red flag for the family. And then Jasmine was more interested in punk rock ( the devil's music). Jasmin’s attitude in school was also changing. She showed up to school in all black clothing items, makeup, and devil's jewelry, which was probably not allowed in the school. She also started making fake tattoos regarding the devil, and the school was a catholic school, which means she would get pulled into the office.
One evening Jasmine attended a punk rock show where she met a guy named Jeremy. At that point, Jeremy showed interest in Jasmine. He was talking to her. He was making her feel special, but at that point, Jeremy was 23 years old hence a second red flag I mean a 12 years old dating a 23 years old man. Talking about Jeremy’s history, he was unemployed, and he was a high school dropout. Jasmine was interested in him because an older man showing interest in her did not share their phone number. And by then, they two started hanging secretly. Considering Jeremy's appearance, I must speak one thing: he used to wear a vial of blood around his neck, and he even told Jasmine that he loves the taste of blood and he needed it to survive. Even Jeremy tells Jasmine that he is a 300-year-old werewolf, and by this, Jasmine got fascinated. After few days, she got highly committed toward Jeremy, and she was on the website Vampirefreaks. Com is a social media platform where you have friends, talk to people, leave comments, and all those stuff, but the website's main target is vampires. Jeremy was a highly active person on that website. And that was the platform they used to communicate most of the time. One day jasmines parents visited her social media platform and came to know about her love. They told Jasmine to stop seeing this guy because he was way older than her. She was strictly old that she was not allowed to meet Jeremy, and she was neither allowed to go out unless going to school. This decision made her go mad, so she started a war kind of thing at home, but she was still communicating with Jeremy online. She was the first person to propose that Jeremy can get rid of the problem “ I have this plan. It begins with me killing them and ends with me living with you,” said Jasmine to Jeremy. And on a reply that Jeremy says, “ their throats I want to slit, they will regret what they have done. Finally, there shall be silence. Their blood shall be my payment.”
On the evening of April 23rd, 2006, a man enters Richardson's house wearing a mask and with a knife; Debra (mom) heard some noise downstairs and goes there to enquire and end up getting stabbed by Jeremy 12 times over and over again after listening to the scream father marc comes downstairs. He, too, ends up getting stabbed 24 times. Now listening to all this hustle, eight-year-old son Jacob hides under the bed of his room, and Jasmine arrives and tries to shut his ears with her hand. When Jeremy ends up with her parents, he goes upstairs and finds Jacob and Jasmine together; at this point, Jasmine was the one who killed her brother by stabbing him five times and slitting his throat.
The following day one of Jacob's friends from the neighborhood comes and rings the doorbell. Still, when no one opens, he peeks through the window and finds blood and bodies lying on the floor, then he screams and runs for help, and his parents call the cops for investigation. Firstly cops thought that the kidnappers might have kidnapped 12 years old girl and mite killed their parents.
The scenario completely changes when they investigate Jasmine’s school locker room, and they find a strange-looking stick drawing, and the cops become sure the murderer is Jasmine. Within 24 house of getting the picture, they find Jasmine and Jeremy.
When the trial of Jasmine was going, she got questioned why she murdered her parents, and then she says, “ I love Jeremy so much. I thought it was going to bring us closer together.”
Now my question to all my readers is that does this love makes any sense. I mean, killing a family who loves her for so many years over a guy she knew for few days is right?
