Hi Friends !!!

Recently I came across an inspirational video of IAS officer, Israel Jebasingh.

Inspired by the video , I would like to share few points in crisp from the video. He always kept telling the following phrase in the video.  

Aasai iruku thasil seyya amsam iruku kzhuthai meikka

(Translation)

We have a desire to rule the district but we are only fit to shepherd a donkey.

This quote sounds like a demotivator. you may question How come it is motivating??

But when he started telling the situation along with this quote it was Truly Inspiring!!! 

The situation goes as follows:

Situation 1:

          He is from middle class family who aspired to become a doctor. The same was aspiration of the family. Since his score was not matching criteria to become doctor ,he said to himself "We have a desire to rule the district but we are only fit to shepherd a donkey". He put himself a bit low to reach heights.Now he is an IAS officer.

Situation 2:

He had to provide flood rescue for 3 villages overnight where flood is not expected.

Being overconfident of flood will not reach such areas, he kept quite.

Later on continuous phone calls from that region he realized that his assumption was wrong and then tried to reach his boss .But boss was not reachable. Now he is not sure on what is next.

Finally , he said to himself "We have a desire to rule the district but we are only fit to shepherd a donkey".

This thought seems to be self demotivation but It is NOT!!! This made him to rise up again and think of what to do and suddenly he got reminded of air base nearby. He called the air base nearby , there an officer took up the call and the officer replied it is not in my hands but still will take up this to chief officer .Later, the chief officer himself called him and extended support to rescue the villagers with air base support.

The IAS officer thanked the Chief officer of airbase .The Chief officer replied, it is my duty to support the fellow man of our country and u need not thank me for this. This point questioned my role of being a citizen of India.. How Patriotic !! Isn't it?

So, Making yourself feel low at sometimes will push you to heights.
