A very important subject in our life would definitely be associated with Math. Despite what some people claim about it , there are plenty of fun and strange facts about math that would fascinate people of all ages.

I guess you will be thrilled to read this blog further.

  1. “One” is the only number in which the alphabets are arranged in descending order.
  2. Every odd number has a “e” in it !
  3. The word “mathematics” appears in only one Shakespearean play, “The Taming of the Shrew”. 
  4. “Forty” ,is the only number in which the letters are arranged in ascending order of alphabets.
  5.  The symbol for division (÷) is called as “obelus”.
  6. The word “hundred” is derived from a  word “hundranth” which actually means 120. 😮
  7. Google search engine is a term which is derived from word “googol” which is a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros which reflect infinite amount of search on the internet.
  8. When 1 is divided by 998001 , the answer will be a complete sequence from 000 to 999 in order. If you don't believe you can try and get ready to waste a notebook.  😂
  9. Most of the mathematical symbols weren’t invented until the 16th century. Before that, equations were written in words.😯🤔
  10. The only number from 0 to 1000 to have “a” in it is “one thousand".
  11. The Dyscalculia Disease is the difficulty in dealing with numbers, and learning math facts. Convincing, isn’t it?😂 Now when we get low grades in the math paper we can be explain to the furious parents by the knowledge of a simple disease and good acting skills. 
  12. In 1997, a divide by zero error occurred when a crew member entered “a” in the database on the board of the USS Yorktown, a billion dollar navy smart boat project. This has lead to slow down all the machines on the network causing the ship’s thrust system to fail.😯
  13.  Zero is the only number that many names like null, nil, zilch, naught…
  14. "Eleven plus two” is an anagram of “twelve plus one” which is pretty similar as the answer to both equations is 13.
  15. There is a record made in 2010 on World Math Day, 1.13 million students from more than 235 countries answered 479,732,613 questions correctly for a quiz.
  16. One of the mysterious question of what arrives after a million, billion and trillion? There are many answers like: quadrillion, quintillion, sextillion, septillion, octillion, nonillion, decillion and undecillion.
  17. 6 can be described as a holy number ,where a guitar comprises of 6 strings, God has made man on the 6th day, Star of David has six sides. 6 is also the smallest perfect number.
  18. Zero is the only number which cannot be represented by roman numerals.
