India is a diverse country where different types of people live. It is well-known place for its historical and cultural values. A lot of famous places are available in India alone which has their own importance; some are mysterious, some haunted and some have unique characteristics that respond to its popularity.
“Bhangarh Fort” is situated in Jaipur, Rajastha; it is classified as the most haunted place in Indian history because people inhabiting near this building notice there some supernatural and paranormal activities happening frequently. They say it is a horror place, where nobody ever returned from. It becomes even more haunted at night time. People even fear of straying around it.
Historians argue on this topic because they reflect different beliefs and views about its history. The most common answer is below:
Behind this mystery, it is supposed to be the residence of a princess called Ratnavati, who was one of the fairest princess of that time. She was very beautiful, that's why, so many princes wanted to marry her. But an evil person was willing to entice her at any cost despite knowing the truth that the princess will reject him at all. Actually he had the power of black magic. One day, one of the princess' maid came out of the fort to buy princess a perfume in the market. Fortunately, the sorcerer was there and he enchanted black magic on that perfume she bought. He intended to have princess' hand to marry by cheating but he failed to do so because her spies told her everything about the perfume that her maid brought. She threw perfume on the land which turned into rock and the black magic reversed. That rock hit directly to the sorcerer and died. He cursed the entire Bhangarh to get struck by sorrows and grief before dying.
Not long after his death, a war took place in Bhangarh, which resulted in negative consequences and princess Ratnavati also died during that war. People from Bhangarh left their town and got abandoned. Now, it is thought to be home of some ghosts and evil souls because people living near it reveal the existence of a lady holding perfume in hands and wearing anklets in feet, whom they call the same 'princess Ratnavati'. This belief among people haunt others.
It is now a tourist destination as people visit there from different cities and countries for exploration and thriller experiences. Entering at night is prohibited there by the Indian government and archeological sites.
