Hii friends! I am back with the second blog of understanding the stock market. In the previous blog, we started discussing about the common questions about the stock markets.
Here are the rest common questions asked by many people related to the stock market and investment.

  • CAN I INVEST WITHOUT ANY COMMERCE BACKGROUND?

Good news! The answer is yes. If you don’t know anything about stock market then that’s doesn’t mean that you can’t invest.
In a survey, two groups were formed. One was of children, who passed their matriculation and the other was of Chartered Accountants. They were given a task to construct a portfolio to invest money. The company invested the same amount of money in both the portfolio and surprisingly, on the due date of the investment duration, they got that the money invested in those companies which were chosen by children showed a relatively good growth than of the professionals.

  • HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?

It was figured out that the CAs chose the companies by proper analysis as per their knowledge but the children, on the other hand, tchose those companies in which they were interested like cadburry, disney, barbie, etc.

So it really not matters from which field you belong to, investment is for all, but the thing is you should invest in those areas in which you are interested in.

  • HOW MUCH RETURNS I CAN EXPECT?
Stock market does not have a fixed rate of return. It varies with the profitability of the company. Let us go further with our previous example of investing in friend’s business. If the business earned 100 rs profit and you have 50% shares, then you will get rs50. In case the profits rise up to 120 rs you will get extra 10 rs but in case if the company earned rs 80 then you will get 40 rs.

  • HOW MUCH SHOULD I START WITH?
One can invest by rs 1000 or rs 500 also as per your pocket allows you.It depends upon the company and price of share. But I think in todays time , eben a student can invest with rs 500 or 1000. Make a portfolio with some selected companies with your amount. Never invest in only one company. If you invested your 1000 rupees  in 4 companies, suppose, if one company faced loses, other three will compensate your loss from  that company.
