The International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has concluded that torrential rains will become common in the coming days, increasing the threat of floods. The community blamed environmental changes for this. Flash floods caused by heavy rains have caused heavy economic losses in recent times. A large number of people are being killed. During the period 1858-2018, due to severe rains and floods, domestic damage was estimated at four lakh crore rupees. India has shown a financial loss of fifty percent in the last ten years. To this extent, a study by the National Disaster Management Agency (NI Deepam) has recently calculated. The study was conducted by this organization as per the instructions of the Union Home Ministry.

Collective system

The Central Water Corporation (CWC) recently revealed that more than one lakh people lost their lives due to floods in India between 1953-2018. 61 lakh animals died.Large amount of crops were damaged. The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Water Resources had earlier suggested that the time has come for central and state governments to work together to deal with the floods that are causing so much destruction. Nirudu recommended that a National Integrated Flood Management Team be set up under the Union Ministry of Hydropower for that purpose. It said that the concerned ministers of every state should be members and at least one meeting should be held every year. It suggested that all flood-prone states should work with neighboring countries to develop an integrated river basin management plan. There is no progress on it. Now NSIDM has also made a similar proposal. Integrated Reservoirs, Dams, River Basins under Union Home Ministry for Integrated Flood Management.

Domestic torrential rains with climate change. The threat of floods has increased. As a result, there is a huge loss of life and property. Recently, Bengaluru and the Godavari catchment areas in the Telugu states were hit by severe floods. It is essential that central and state governments move ahead in coordination to prevent water pollution.

It is suggested to set up area management authority. Flood control in rivers and tributaries. According to the organization NSIDM, water supply management, electricity generation, transmission and distribution in the river basin areas. The organization suggested that catchment areas should be given high priority for soil protection and comprehensive development of water resources. Center for monopolization of water resources

Many states are already accused of trying. There are often disputes over it. At this juncture, the party mentored the Sthai Sangh or NIDM. If the recommendations are to be implemented, the central and state governments need to come together in a harmonious way.
