As part of the new education system, efforts are being made to provide basic education to technical, engineering, legal and medical education in the mother tongue. As part of this, Madhya Pradesh became the first state to introduce MBBS course in Hindi. Dadabhai Naoroji describes the movement of resources out of India in the seventeenth century as the migration of wealth. Currently in the 21st century we are witnessing a brain drain from our country. The same forces that caused the migration of wealth then - are now causing brain drain by encouraging our youth to pursue education in foreign languages. When our youth are educated in their mother tongue, the situation like 'brain drain' can be turned into 'brain gain'.

16th October this year in Swatantyra Amrita Mahotsavam... is a day worth writing in golden letters. It can be considered as a renaissance of education. That was the day Madhya Pradesh government started medical education in Hindi medium. This marks the beginning of the first chapter  to provide education in local languages.

India is steadily moving forward on the path of self-reliance, . It is important to remember that self-reliance is not limited to business, trade and services. To achieve the goal of self-reliance, it is very important to make our languages strong. It is for this reason that the new education system has given high priority to education in mother tongues. As a result, Indian languages get due priority in the education system of the country. Efforts are being made to provide engineering education in mediums by translating books into eight Indian languages like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Hindi and Assamese. Exams like NEET and UGC are currently conducted in 12 languages. All these  efforts and initiatives to strengthen Indian languages.

Even after the era of colonial states, many governments formed in our country made Indian languages suffer for a long time. Many leaders of our country prefer to speak in English on foreign and multilateral platforms. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, as India's External Affairs Minister, gave great respect to Indian languages by speaking in Hindi at the UN. These things not only boosted recognition and respect for Indian languages but also boosted the self-confidence of India. These efforts to take up education in mother tongues will not only contribute to the development of Indian languages, but will also contribute to the qualitative growth of the intellectual abilities of our students.
