As a result, Indian languages get due priority in the education system of the country. Efforts are being made to provide engineering education in mediums by translating books into eight Indian languages like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Gujarati, Marathi, Bengali, Hindi and Assamese. Exams like NEET and UGC are currently conducted in 12 languages. All these efforts and initiatives to strengthen Indian languages.
Even after the era of colonial states, many governments formed in our country made Indian languages suffer for a long time. Many leaders of our country prefer to speak in English on foreign and multilateral platforms. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, as India's External Affairs Minister, gave great respect to Indian languages by speaking in Hindi at the UN. These things not only boosted recognition and respect for Indian languages but also boosted the self-confidence of India. These efforts to take up education in mother tongues will not only contribute to the development of Indian languages, but will also contribute to the qualitative growth of the intellectual abilities of our students.
