Few years ago they portraying muslim characters with kohl-ed eyes,wearing fez, tabiz and sometimes lungi also.They are not so educated and socially established personality. They are either criminal or low standard small characters.

In recent years kohl-ed eyes, devilish gaze, kurta, meat eating style and aggressively dancing are some of the standards these films have set for muslim characters. Over the decades different templates and stereotypes where set from a terrorists to jihadi to now an ancient devilish ruler mostly Mughal Emperor.

Recent released movie Tanhaji pushes an Islamophobic idea of fight against Swaraj and Freedom for Hindustan which is technically not possible in 1600s. Just try a little google search and you will get the fact of The battle of Kondhan. In this movie there is a sense that the battle was fought on religious lines. But was it do?

In the other hand the Hindu ruler and the community in the movie are shown to embody nobility, valour, patriotism and bright.

There are lots of movies like Razi, War where they add to the stereotypes of what constitute a good muslim and a the factor which make bad muslims. Good muslims are cover their head, go to the Dargah, do not toych alcohol and Bad muslims are indulge in multiple sexual activities and ask Allah for luck before committing crimes.

Sometimes muslim movie maker add a good muslim character and in the team who fight Bad muslims. They show muslim families who are victims of the radical Islamic country they line in.
